Administrative Assistant

As the Company continues to experience steady growth, it is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the team.
The Administrative Assistant Position
The Administrative Assistant responsible for the execution of a variety of daily administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations for the company in addition to weekly payroll processing. This position will be the face and voice of the M&M office, fielding calls, greeting visitors, working side by side with other team members, and assisting the President and Human Resources department with special projects as needed.
General responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reviewing, verifying, and processing weekly payroll, research payroll discrepancies and work with management to resolve issues prior to posting, maintain personnel records and assist in onboarding new hires, assist Project Management with job related tasks, work with management on special projects as assigned, order, stock and distribute office supplies, develop and maintain employee appreciation programs, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, and maintain and update files, records, certificates, and/or other documents.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Administriative Assistant Position
- High school diploma or GED required (Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience in payroll processing is required
- Experience in Foundation Software is a plus, but is not required
- Familiarity with construction is preferred, but is not required
- Strong Computer, Communication & Organizational Skills
- Basic knowledge of construction administration and a willingness to learn

Experience working on heavy construction equipment and trucks necessary, including hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systems. GPS / Survey Technician
M&M Excavating is searching for a GPS and Survey Technician with a strong work ethic who can perform quality control by checking plans through GPS and total station technology as it applies to grading and utility installation operations. This position has strong potential for future growth within the company.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required (Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to add, subtract & divide using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and interpret bar graphs
Job Duties / Requirements:
- Perform basic construction layout and quality control checks
- Read and interpret plans/blueprints
- Field engineer solutions to site design errors
- Assist project manager with tracking costs
- Perform ongoing survey equipment maintenance
- Other duties as assigned per supervisor
- Be safety conscious in all aspects of work

Shop Helper
Seeking hard working applicants willing to work in fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Position is full-time through construction season, including some weekends. Duties include building and grounds maintenance, yard work, washing equipment, cleaning shop and worksites, mechanic’s assistant, etc. Position is entry-level and initial pay will start at $17.00/hour.
