Construction Estimator/Project Manager

As the Company continues to experience steady growth, it is seeking a Construction Estimator/Project Manager to join the team.
The Construction Estimator/Project Manager Position
The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for the implementation of the project from pre-bid to successful completion and final payment. General responsibilities include but are not limited to: prepare estimates and budgets, pre-construction submittals, take-offs, creating progress schedules, purchase orders and subcontracts. Attend weekly project and progress meetings. Review and manage weekly costs, change order management, track pay items & quantities, recognizing extra work & claims. Work with MDOT to develop and manage plans and safety protocols per project specifications. Coordinate all sprinkler notices, local permits & agreements, and schedule subcontractors. Request extensions of time in accordance with contract requirements, monitor rental equipment needs versus budget, complete final close-out documents, finalize quantities & payments.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Construction Estimator/Project Manager Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in Construction is preferred
- Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable with MDOT projects and practices

GPS / Survey Technician

As the Company continues to experience steady growth, it is seeking multiple Survey Technicians with a strong work ethic who can perform quality control by checking plans through GNSS and Total Station technology as it applies to grading and utility installation operations. This position has very strong potential for future growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

- Training. Maintain the appropriate certifications and qualifications necessary for the operations performed by the company.
- Responsibility. Custodian the equipment owned or operated by the company by keeping it secure, safe, and treating it responsibly.
- Flexibility. Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the team’s success.
Required:
- Experience with remote field work and road construction (preferred)
- Perform construction layout and quality control checks
- Read and interpret construction/road layout plans (This will be taught but experience is preferred)
- Adaptable to emerging technologies such as laser scanning and drones
- Able to maintain all surveying equipment including data collectors, GPS surveying gear, Total Station gear, field surveying supplies, tools, etc (This will be taught)
- Reliable transportation
- Confidence with new technology
- Familiarity with programs such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, etc
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply & divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals (This will be taught)
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and interpret bar graphs (This will be taught)
- Familiarity with simple geometry equations such as Pythagorean Theorem and SOH CAH TOA (This will be taught)
- Ability to problem solve and perform on-site technical analysis if problems arise from the plans (This will be taught)
- Ability to walk great distances, lift heavy objects, and work in all weather conditions
- Understands proper checklist, manual, and SOP use and integration (This will be taught)
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- High school diploma or GED required (Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Successful completion of a background check
- Successful completion of a urine analysis.

Building & Grounds Maintenance Worker
Seeking hard working applicants willing to work in fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Position is full-time through construction season, including some weekends.
