Mackinaw City - 2026 USDA Water Main Improvements

Scope:
Approximately 5400 LF of water main installation and replacements, including the following: 2400 LF of new 12” transmission water main on W. Central Avenue from Nokomis to Askins, 600 ft of 12” water main replacement on N. Nicolet St from Central to Etherington, 2000 LF of 12” transmission water main on Etherington St from Nicolet to Huron, 300 LF of 12” water main and valve cluster at Central and Huron, 500 LF of 12” water main on N. Huron St between Etherington and Jamet. All associated joints and gate valves, fire hydrants, and related restoration work will be completed simultaneously. Replacement of lead impacted water service lines, including exterior excavations, wall penetrations, and installation of meter yoke and City supplied meter, connection to existing plumbing, plus related appurtenances and restoration work will be included. On N. Huron, 84 LF of 10” sanitary sewer and 199 ft of 12” sanitary sewer are also included adjacent to water main work.
