We, at M&M Excavating, know that Michigan has a problem. For more than a decade, we have been working to solve the infrastructure funding challenges of our Great Lakes State. On November 10, 2015, Brandie Meisner CFO of M&M Excavating had the honor of introducing Governor Rick Snyder as he signed landmark transportation funding legislation.

January 1, 2017 marks the launch of these legislative changes. According to MITA (Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association), the $1.2 billion dollar annual increase into Michigan’s transportation system relies on half of the new revenue coming from traditional user fees, like the gas tax and registration fees. This is good news for Michigan; residents, businesses and tourists will all benefit from the increased spending afforded to improve Michigan’s aging infrastructure.
